To start any work you should develop interest in that thing, same applies to coding, try reading some articles on it,watch a couple of videos. That will give you an overview of how coding looks like and what is it about basically. You can go through some of free courses available on many platforms like youtube and many other websites. Research a little bit, when you research you get to know the meaning of coding. Anyone can start learning to code there is no age criteria for that only you need is some basic knowledge of mathematics. you can learn basic programming through smart phones as well but computer is recommended.

 

1. You should start by choosing the Programming Language that seems most fitting for you. It is advised to choose a language that is mostly user-friendly or is not that hard to begin with. An example of that would be the C language.

Above all, coding is about problem-solving and making logics. It’s not all about memorizing all the functions and different lines of code. You can look at those functions  if you forget how to do something specific. Your skills as a problem solver, which is the most important skill regarding coding, will develop with the time you spend practicing them. 

 

2. Get the software you’ll need – There are so many soft wares available on the internet and they are free. You can download visual studio code or code blocks.





 

3. Join communities -  In 2020 There are plenty of places online to ask questions, get help with sticky problems and learning concepts in the best possible way and practices. Joining a community can really help and encourage you to continue, and give you a bit of direction when you feel lost. There are lots of online communities like reddit, geeks for geeks, hacker earth. You

Can also join hackathons.




 

4. Read Books - There are loads of books out there on how to start coding. Reading a book can really help you get to grips with the programming theory. The main downside is that if you get stuck, it’s hard to ask a book for help. They’re great for the broad ideas and concepts, or learning while you’re away from the computer. But without constant practice, you might become disheartened. You can find a list of books on Internet.


 

5. Online Tutorials – This is an online era and everything is available in 2020 on internet for free also.You can get tons of free courses on youtube. Just go on youtube and search for it. The important thing is being consistent with the course.




6. Competitive coding – As mentioned earlier you can visit some web sites like geeks for geeks, Hacker earth etc. Solve questions participate in games and quizzes and compete.
